Estes Cone in RMNP. Beautiful views from the top. NOBODY seems to hike this in winter. Started from the Longs Peak TH and took the Eugena Mine trail. Broke trail the entire way after leaving the Longs Peak trail. Quite an exhausting climb. Impossible to keep the trail once you have passed the Storm Pass trail junction. Difficult footing and steep, only deep snow for a fraction of the final ascent. Worthwhile hike!
