Nate and I traveled to Walsenberg where we spent the night and jumped out to an early start toward Cordovaa Pass in order to hike West Spanish Peak. It's the Spanish Peaks Wilderness high point at 13,626 ft above see level.
We left the hotel before 6am and arrived at Cordova Pass near 7am. Almost ran into some cows loose in the road on the way here.
There were campers on the pass but we were the first on the trail and the first to the summit this day. Probably saw close to 20 others on the way down that were headed up.
