Longs Peak from Sundance Mt.
The weather forecast did not look great for this day and it was cloudy as I headed into Estes Park. I decided to try and take my bike up to Trail Ridge Road and see what I could do.
Trail Ridge was open to Rainbow Curve which is where I parked and started my bike ride. I was in the clouds for a foggy drive up but emerged above the clouds just as I pulled into the parking area at Rainbow Curve. Wow! Everything was bright and sunny up here.
I rode my bike a couple of miles up the road which was harder than I had hoped. My gear derailer wasn't working properly so I couldn't shift my bike into the gear I wanted. I parked my bike and took off on foot for Sundance Mt.
I hiked up the ridge to the east and over to the summit. Great views on this ridge. People would probably love a trail through here.
The clouds below made for great pics. Got lucky on this day.
