Flume Knob and Bear Den Mountains

Daryn and I went up to the Wilmington/Whiteface ski area for about a 5 mile hike to bag a couple of peaks.  One was on the Adk 29er list and the other on the Lake Placid 9er list.  The total hike was a little under 5 miles with about 2,000 feet of gain.  Nice views from both peaks.  We bushwhacked from the Flume Knob trail over the true summit and to the Bear Den trail to save a bunch of up and down.
