Nate and I had stayed in Ouray for the night and were scheduled to hike Mt. Sneffels but the weather made us reconsider.
Instead, Nate and I headed north and drove the loop road through the Colorado National Monument. We stopped at many of the lookouts and then hiked up the trail toward Monument Canyon and Independence Monument. We saw several bighorn sheep on the hike in and they were still hanging out on our way back to the truck.
We also stopped at the Dinosaur Hill site afterward and then had lunch at the Rockslide Brewery in Grand Junction.
